Climate in Rotterdam

The weather in Rotterdam is sub-oceanic, humid and rainy, influenced by the North Sea, but also by the Atlantic Ocean. Rotterdam has cold winters, and rather cool summers.

The wind usually blows strongly from November to March.

Rainfall is relatively abundant, about 880 millimeters per year, but is distributed throughout the seasons. The rainiest season is autumn, and the least rainy is spring. Precipitation is usually in the form of short showers or drizzle.

July is the warmest month in Rotterdam, and January is the coldest. October is the rainiest month.
