Dutch phrases for shopping
Knowing a few Dutch phrases for shopping can be useful in shops, supermarkets, markets and shopping centres throughout the Netherlands.
In this guide you will find useful expressions for asking about prices, sizes and colours, paying, returning products and asking for help, with an approximate pronunciation designed for English speakers.
The pronunciation is only a guide. Some Dutch sounds do not have an exact equivalent in English, so these phonetic spellings are best used as a first step before listening to native Dutch pronunciation.
