Parkhaven

The Parkhaven is situated between the Lloydkwartier area and Het Park in Rotterdam.

The harbour was excavated between 1890 and 1893. It was created for the transshipment of general cargo and inherited its name from the adjacent green area, Het Park.

Parkhaven serves as a link between the Nieuwe Maas and the Delfshavense Schie, and throughout the day, its bridges are raised numerous times to allow passage for cargo vessels.
