Football in Rotterdam
The city has three professional football teams that play in the Eredivisie, the Dutch first division: Feyenoord, Sparta, and Excelsior.
Feyenoord Rotterdam
Founded in 1912, Feyenoord is one of the most important clubs in the Netherlands. It has won 16 league titles, 14 Dutch Cups, 4 Dutch Super Cups, one European Cup, two UEFA Cups, and one Intercontinental Cup.
Their stadium, De Kuip, has a capacity of 51,000 spectators and is located in the southern part of Rotterdam.

Sparta Rotterdam
Founded in 1888, it is the oldest professional club in the country. It has won 6 league titles, one Eerste Divisie, and 3 Dutch Cups.
Their stadium, Het Kasteel, is located in the Spangen district and has a capacity of 11,000 people.

Excelsior Rotterdam
Founded in 1902, Excelsior also plays in the Eredivisie. It has won 3 Eerste Divisie titles.

Basketball in Rotterdam
Feyenoord Basketball
This professional basketball club plays in the BNXT League (a league with teams from Belgium and the Netherlands). The club was founded in 1954 and since 2018 has been the basketball section of the Feyenoord football team.
Their court is located next to De Kuip stadium.

Baseball in Rotterdam
There are four baseball clubs in Rotterdam. You can watch games in various categories from youth to senior level. Admission is usually free. All clubs have both male and female baseball and softball teams.
Neptunus
This club has won numerous national cups, as well as 15 European Cups and 7 European Super Cups.
The Neptunus Stadium was the main venue for the 2005 Baseball World Cup held in the Netherlands. The World Port Tournament is held at the same stadium every two years.

This club is located in the north of Rotterdam, in the Hillegersberg area.

Hockey in Rotterdam
HC Rotterdam
HC Rotterdam. This field hockey club was founded in 1925 and is the third largest club in the Netherlands.
The men’s first team competes in the Hoofdklasse (the top division of Dutch hockey), while the women’s first team plays in the Promotieklasse (the second division). The men’s team has won the league once.
Their stadium is located in the northern part of Rotterdam, in the Hillegersberg district.

Rugby in Rotterdam
Rotterdam Pitbulls
The Rotterdam Pitbulls club competes in the Dutch Rugby League Competition (NRLB), as well as at international level. They have won the national competition once.
